Foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) turned net buyers in December, reversing a two-month selling streak. Over the last three sessions, FPIs purchased equities worth ₹14,002 crore, including ₹8,539.9 crore on Thursday alone, according to NSDL data. This comes after significant outflows of ₹21,612 crore in November and ₹94,017 crore in October. Sectors like IT, BFSI, and realty saw the highest inflows in November, while oil & gas, telecom, and FMCG witnessed heavy selling. Experts suggest higher large-cap allocations as Nifty gained 2.4%, reflecting renewed market optimism.
