Foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) have sold Indian equities worth Rs 14,794 crore in June so far, continuing a trend from April and May when they offloaded Rs 38,158 crore in total. Despite this, domestic institutional investors (DIIs) have continued buying. FPIs' sustained selling is attributed to high Indian stock valuations, leading them to shift capital to more attractive markets like China. Notably, FPIs bought shares worth Rs 4,391 crore on Friday, while DIIs sold Rs 1,290 crore. Year-to-date, FPIs have sold Rs 23,363 crore, with net selling at Rs 19,824 crore.
