State-owned fuel retailers have increased the commission paid to petrol pump dealers for the first time in nearly eight years, effective October 30, 2024.
The commission on petrol rises by 65 paise per litre, while diesel dealers see a hike of 44 paise per litre. Despite this change, retail prices for petrol and diesel will stay the same. Currently, dealers earn Rs 1,868.14 per kilolitre for petrol and Rs 1,389.35 per kilolitre for diesel, plus a small percentage based on the product's price.
