Tata Sons Chairman N Chandrasekaran believes that generative AI will create more jobs in India rather than eliminate them. Speaking at Mumbai Tech Week, he emphasized that while some routine jobs may be affected, AI will enhance productivity and empower low-skilled workers to perform better. He sees AI as a key driver of entrepreneurship, allowing anyone with an idea to start a business with fewer resources. Chandrasekaran also advocated for developing an "India AI stack" to harness the AI revolution effectively, focusing on infrastructure, AI models, applications, and governance to align with Indian values.
