12 Sep, 2025

FIFA has kicked off the ticket registration process for the highly anticipated World Cup 2026, which will be hosted by the USA, Canada, and Mexico. This tournament promises to be a remarkable event, and FIFA is implementing a dynamic pricing model based on demand for tickets. This means that ticket prices may vary significantly based on how popular certain matches are.

From September 10 to 19, fans interested in attending the World Cup can enter a presale draw. To participate, fans must hold a Visa card and have registered for a FIFA ID, which can easily be obtained from FIFA’s official website. Being selected in this draw is the first step toward purchasing tickets, which will be available from October 1 for those who are chosen.

The ticket prices for the World Cup range from $60 for group stage matches to a staggering $6,710 for a seat at the final. FIFA expects intense demand for these tickets, making early registration essential for fans eager to secure their spots. The tournament will take place from June 11 to July 19, 2026, and matches will be held in various cities across the three host nations.

Heimo Schirgi, FIFA’s World Cup 2026 Chief Operating Officer, emphasized the importance of getting tickets early, especially for fans residing in host cities or those following specific teams. As the tournament approaches, more registration phases will be announced, allowing more fans the opportunity to purchase tickets.

After the initial presale draw, a second phase is expected to open from October 27 to 31, with ticket sales starting in mid-November. A final phase will follow once the match schedule is finalized on December 5, allowing fans another chance to buy remaining tickets on a first-come, first-served basis.

This is an exciting time for football fans globally, including those in India who are keen to witness the World Cup atmosphere either in person or through broadcasts. With dynamic pricing and a structured ticketing process, FIFA aims to optimize attendance and ensure that fans from all over the world can partake in this grand sporting event.
