Gold prices fell for the third straight day, dropping by ₹220 per 10 grams in major Indian cities on October 16 due to low demand ahead of Dhanteras and Diwali.
In Delhi, 24K gold is now priced at ₹77,540 per 10 grams, while 22K gold stands at ₹71,090. Silver prices also eased by ₹100, reaching ₹96,800 per kg. Globally, gold rebounded slightly, trading at $2,665 an ounce as US bond yields softened, which helped stabilize the dollar's strength. Gold prices in Mumbai, Chennai, and Kolkata remained at ₹77,390 for 24K gold and ₹70,940 for 22K gold.
