Google Slashes Maps API Prices by 70% After Ola Maps’ Free Offer

Google has announced a 70% reduction in Google Maps API prices for Indian developers, effective August 1. This move comes after Ola CEO Bhavish Aggarwal offered a one-year free access to Ola Maps for developers.

Additionally, Google will provide a 90% discount to developers working with the state-owned Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC). The new pricing, revealed at Google I/O Connect in Bengaluru, will also allow subscription payments in rupees, shifting from the current US dollar payments.
