Google Wallet Launches in India: How It Differs from Google Pay

Google has introduced Google Wallet in India, offering a secure digital space for storing cards, tickets, passes, and IDs. Unlike Google Pay, which focuses on financial management, Google Wallet is tailored for non-payment uses. While Wallet globally supports credit and debit cards, its Indian version doesn't. Google reassures users that Google Pay remains the primary payment app. The Wallet app comes pre-installed on Pixel smartphones, and others can download it from the Play Store. Notably, Google Wallet won't be available on wearables. Partnerships with PVR INOX, Flipkart, Air India, Shoppers Stop, and Ixigo have been announced.
