The central government plans to raise Rs 7.5 trillion through market borrowing in the first half of the upcoming fiscal year, aiming for a total of Rs 14.13 trillion in 2024-25. Auctions spread over 26 weeks will offer various dated securities, including a new 15-year bond.
Additionally, Rs 12,000 crore will be raised through sovereign green bonds. The borrowing calendar indicates Rs 1.52 trillion to be raised between April and early May. This strategy aims to manage government finances efficiently amidst changing economic dynamics.
