The Finance Ministry has announced a call for applications for the role of Deputy Governor at the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), following Michael Debabrata Patra's extended term ending on January 14, 2025.
This key position requires candidates to have a minimum of 25 years of work experience in Public Administration, including experience at the level of Secretary or an equivalent role within the Government of India. The selected Deputy Governor will oversee the Monetary Policy Department and serve on the Monetary Policy Committee, which sets interest rates.
