Haryana Police Solves Hansi Murder Case in 48 Hours
In a remarkable display of efficiency, Haryana Police solved the murder case of a property dealer in Hansi within just 48 hours. The incident, which took place on February 3, led to significant public concern and a swift police response.
The primary suspect, Gurmeet Singh, a hairdresser from Bhaini Maharajpur in Rohtak, was arrested along with four accomplices. The police investigations revealed that the victim, Malik, aged 65, had suffered fourteen injuries inflicted by sharp-edged weapons, primarily on his head. Evidence collected from the crime scene included a .315 bore pistol and fingerprints.
Hansi Superintendent of Police, Amit Yashvardhan, detailed the extensive efforts made by the police. Under the leadership of three DSP-rank officers, 15 teams were formed to gather information, with additional support from cybercrime and crime branch units. The police interrogated around 25 suspects, but Gurmeet initially avoided contact.
Utilizing technical leads, the police tracked Gurmeet to a local flyover. When he spotted the police, he attempted to escape by jumping from the flyover, injuring his leg in the process. He was subsequently admitted to Agroha Medical College for treatment.
Upon further investigation, it was revealed that three of the accomplices were from Chhatarpur in Madhya Pradesh. They had traveled to Haryana in search of work and were living in rented accommodations. The motive for the murder stemmed from a robbery plan; the accused had noticed Malik's gold jewelry, including a ring, kada, and chain, during his visits to Gurmeet's salon.
The plot was to rob Malik to gather money for travel and leisure. Gurmeet even provided his motorcycle for the crime. Recognizing the swift resolution of this case, Haryana's Director General of Police, Ajay Singhal, congratulated the Hansi Police. He announced a cash reward of Rs 50,000 and a commendation certificate for the exemplary efforts in cracking the case.
This incident not only highlights the challenges faced by law enforcement in handling violent crimes but also showcases the importance of quick and coordinated police action in ensuring justice is served.
