Hindustan Unilever (HUL) shares tumbled 5.78% to ₹2,504.15 on Thursday after the company’s Q2FY25 results disappointed. HUL reported a 4% decline in net profit to ₹2,612 crore, down from ₹2,717 crore last year.
Despite a slight 2% increase in revenue to ₹15,319 crore and 3% volume growth, the drop in profits worried investors. EBITDA for the quarter also fell 1.3% to ₹3,647 crore, while margins narrowed to 23.8%. Additionally, HUL announced plans to separate its ice cream business by December 2024.
