India's U19 cricket team has made a remarkable mark in the ICC Men’s U19 World Cup by achieving a record chase of 311 runs against Afghanistan in the semi-final held in Harare. This incredible feat not only highlights the team's skill but also sets a new benchmark in the tournament's history.

The match began with Afghanistan winning the toss and opting to bat first. They set a challenging target, scoring 310 runs for the loss of four wickets in their allotted 50 overs. Faisal Khan and Uzairullah Niazai both played exceptionally well, each scoring centuries. Faisal's 110 runs included 15 boundaries, while Uzairullah contributed an impressive 101 not out, showcasing their batting prowess.

In response, India needed a strong start to chase down the target, and they found just that in Vaibhav Sooryavanshi. The 14-year-old opener came out swinging, scoring 68 runs off just 33 balls, which included four sixes. His explosive innings set the tone for the chase, allowing India to gather 90 runs in less than 10 overs.

Following Sooryavanshi's departure, captain Ayush Mhatre joined Aaron George at the crease. Mhatre’s 62 runs further solidified India's position. George, who was the standout performer, scored a fantastic 115 runs off 104 balls before getting out, effectively sealing the match for India.

India's innings concluded at 311 runs for the loss of three wickets in just 41.1 overs, securing a seven-wicket victory with 8.5 overs to spare. This achievement not only propels them into the final against England but also showcases the immense talent present in India's youth cricket.

As the final approaches, all eyes will be on these young cricketers who have already made their mark in this prestigious tournament. Their journey is a testament to hard work, dedication, and the bright future of Indian cricket.
