The Indian stock market continued its upward trend on Wednesday, buoyed by strong global cues. The Bank Nifty index also saw gains, closing at 48,189 after a 218-point increase. Despite lower cash market volumes totaling ₹1.03 lakh crore on the NSE, the broad market indices outperformed the Nifty 50 index, with an advance-decline ratio of 1.63:1. Experts anticipate the Nifty 50 index to target levels of 22,560 in the short term.
