Indian Stock Markets Closed for Guru Nanak Jayanti, Resume Monday

On Friday, November 15, 2024, India's key stock exchanges—the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) and National Stock Exchange (NSE)—are closed in observance of Guru Nanak Jayanti. Trading in Equity, Equity Derivatives, Currency Derivatives, and Securities Lending and Borrowing (SLB) segments will resume on Monday. Additionally, the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) and National Commodity Exchange (NCDEX) will halt operations from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm but will reopen for trading from 5:00 pm to 11:55 pm. Guru Nanak Jayanti celebrates the 555th birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev, honoring his message of equality.
