Saurabh Gadgil, the chairman and managing director of PN Gadgil Jewellers, has become one of India’s newest billionaires. Based in Pune, Gadgil is part of a sixth-generation family business.
His rise to billionaire status comes after the company's successful market debut last month, with shares jumping 61% since listing. Currently, his net worth stands at nearly $1.1 billion, according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index. Before his success in the jewelry industry, Gadgil interned at the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) during his MBA studies. He is also known for being a former chess player, showcasing his diverse talents.
