FTSE Russell is a company that tracks different financial markets. Starting in September 2025, it will add India's government bonds to its list of emerging market bonds, which could attract a lot of money from investors.
India’s bonds will be about 9.35% of that list. South Korea's government bonds will be added to a different list in November 2025, making up 2.22% of it. FTSE delayed adding India before because of some issues, but now things have improved. This is part of a trend where big financial companies are including these countries' bonds.
