Indonesia Bans Apple iPhone 16 Over Investment Shortfalls, Leaving Tourists Uncertain

Indonesia has officially banned the Apple iPhone 16 due to Apple's failure to meet specific investment commitments.

Industry Minister Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita stated that the device lacks the necessary International Mobile Equipment Identity (IMEI) certification, rendering it illegal for sale or use in the country. He cautioned citizens and tourists alike, as any iPhone 16 found in use will be considered unlawful.
