Indian Railways has revised its advance ticket booking policy, reducing the reservation period from 120 days to 60 days, effective November 1, 2024.
This new rule means passengers can now book train tickets up to two months in advance rather than the previous four months. However, travelers who have already purchased tickets for dates beyond November 1 will not be affected by this change. The policy shift aims to streamline ticket management and enhance passenger flexibility, providing a more dynamic booking experience for rail travelers across India.
