India has approved Kaynes Semicon’s plan to build a ₹3,300 crore semiconductor plant in Sanand, Gujarat. Announced on September 2, 2024, this facility will produce 60 lakh chips daily for various sectors including automotive, industrial, EVs, consumer electronics, telecom, and mobile phones.
This project is part of the “Programme for Development of Semiconductors and Display Manufacturing Ecosystem in India,” which aims to make India a global semiconductor hub with a total budget of ₹76,000 crore.
