Koo Shuts Down: CEO's Emotional Farewell

Indian social media app Koo, launched in 2020 as a Twitter alternative, has ceased operations. The app, which allowed users to post in multiple Indian languages, reached 50 million downloads. Despite its initial success and innovations like the Talk-to-Type feature, Koo faced stiff competition and struggled with monetization. Co-founders Aprameya Radhakrishna and Mayank Bidawatka announced the shutdown in an emotional note, expressing gratitude to users and highlighting the challenges faced.
