Kotak Mahindra Bank is intensifying its tech transition by aiming to recruit 400 engineers this year. The bank, supported by Indian magnate Uday Kotak, has already onboarded over 500 engineers in the past two years, drawn from prominent tech firms like Google, Amazon, Paytm, and PhonePe. This surge in tech talent follows heightened scrutiny from regulators due to lapses in the bank's technology systems. Despite a recent ban on new customer acquisition and credit card issuance through digital channels, Kotak aims to fortify its governance and risk management.
