Max Healthcare is set to acquire a 64% stake in Jaypee Healthcare (JHL) for Rs 1,660 crore, with an option to buy the remaining 36%.
This deal includes Jaypee Hospital in Noida, a 500-bed facility, and two other hospitals in Uttar Pradesh. The acquisition, part of JHL's Corporate Insolvency Resolution Process (CIRP), will strengthen Max's position in the NCR region. The transaction is expected to close within 30 days, with Max also arranging debt to settle JHL’s financial claims.
