McDonald’s sales fall globally for first time in over 3 years

McDonald's reported a global sales decline, its first in 13 quarters, as inflation prompts consumers to opt for cheaper home-cooked meals.

The company introduced a $5 meal deal in the US to attract budget-conscious customers. Despite the dip, McDonald's maintained its profit forecast and capital expenditure plans. The sales drop was notably influenced by reduced spending in international markets, especially in France, and a slower recovery in China and the Middle East.
