Mohali Police's Operation Night Domination for New Year

As the New Year celebrations draw near, the Mohali police are taking proactive measures to ensure public safety and curb criminal activities through their special initiative called 'Operation Night Domination'. This operation is spearheaded by DSP (City-1) Prithvi Singh Chahal and aims to enhance law and order during the festive season.

Operation Night Domination involves intensive night patrols across urban areas, thorough vehicle checks, and monitoring of suspicious individuals. The primary goal is to create a secure environment for residents and visitors, especially those frequenting markets late at night. With the increase in foot traffic during the New Year festivities, maintaining safety is of utmost importance.

During the operation, the police successfully impounded two cars and one motorcycle for various rule violations. In addition, they issued 12 traffic challans and booked two individuals under Section 128 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS) for disturbing public peace. This enforcement action demonstrates the police's commitment to ensuring compliance with traffic and civic regulations.

SSP Harmandeep Singh Hans emphasized that such night domination drives are routinely conducted to prevent crime and maintain order in both commercial and residential areas. He reassured the public that the Mohali police are dedicated to fostering a safe environment, especially during busy night hours. The police urge residents and shopkeepers to cooperate fully during the checks and to report any suspicious activity immediately.

Looking ahead, SSP Hans mentioned that similar enforcement drives will continue in various parts of the city in the coming days.
