Mukesh Ambani, Chairman of Reliance Industries, announced the launch of Jio AirFiber on September 19, aiming to provide high-speed broadband services directly to homes through the air, eliminating the need for ground fiber connections. With 450 million subscribers and over 50 million on 5G, Ambani unveiled ambitious expansion plans for the telecom sector, having added a 5G cell to their network every 10 seconds.
The 5G rollout aims to cover India completely by December. Ambani also emphasized their commitment to Artificial Intelligence (AI) with plans to create 2,000 MW of AI-ready computing capacity, highlighting its potential to reshape industries and drive national prosperity.
