Indian stock markets started flat today, with Nifty 50 dipping 37.35 points to 24,604.45 and Sensex down 49 points at 81,476.76. Experts predict market volatility due to the F&O expiry, despite ongoing consolidation. US CPI inflation met estimates, raising Fed rate cut chances to 98%. Nifty 50 saw 23 gainers, led by Tech Mahindra and Bharti Airtel, while 27 stocks, including Apollo Hospitals, declined. Sectoral gains were noted in Nifty IT and Pharma indices. Foreign investors sold ₹1,012 crore, while DIIs bought ₹2,000 crore. Brent Crude rose to $73.66.
