Odisha 10th Result 2026: 95.33% Pass Rate!
The Odisha Board of Secondary Education has officially announced the results for the Class 10 examinations of 2026. The results were declared on May 2, and students can check their scores online at bseodisha.nic.in and orissaresults.nic.in. This year, over 5.61 lakh students registered for the exam, and an impressive 95.33% passed, marking a significant achievement for the state’s education system.
Out of the 5,44,670 students who registered, 5,36,306 appeared for the exams conducted from February 19 to March 2. Unfortunately, 8,364 students were absent. Among those who took the exam, 5,19,251 students successfully cleared it. The results not only reflect the hard work of the students but also the dedication of the teachers and educational institutions across Odisha.
Education Minister Nityananda Gond emphasized the importance of these results during a press conference. He noted that this year, students will receive their certificates in both Odia and English. This initiative aims to promote the local language while maintaining international standards in education. Gond encouraged students to continue striving for success in their future endeavors.
This year, girls outperformed boys, with 2,63,152 girls passing compared to 2,56,099 boys. The results showcase the progress made in gender equality within education in Odisha. The highest pass percentage was recorded in Gajapati district at 99.31%, while Keonjhar district had the lowest at 94.35%. These statistics illustrate the varying educational challenges faced by different regions within the state.
Students who did not meet the passing criteria can appear for supplementary examinations, ensuring that they have opportunities to improve their scores and not lose an academic year. The board has made provisions to support such students, demonstrating its commitment to educational excellence.
