OnePlus was fined Rs 5,000 after failing to provide a user manual with a OnePlus Nord CE 3 phone, purchased by a Bengaluru customer, Ramesh, for Rs 24,598.
Ramesh had bought the phone in September 2024 and raised the issue when he found the manual missing. The Consumer Disputes Redressal Forum ruled that the company did not follow the guidelines set by the Department of Consumer Affairs, which require providing a user manual. OnePlus has been instructed to pay the fine along with legal costs.
