The Prime Minister's Internship Scheme has opened registration for candidates aged 21-24, listing over 80,000 internships across 737 districts and 24 sectors. The oil, gas, and energy sector leads with over 25,000 positions, followed by manufacturing and automotive with 16,000, and banking and financial services with over 10,000 listings. The scheme aims to provide internships to one crore youth in top 500 companies over five years. Most opportunities are concentrated in Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Gujarat, Karnataka, and Uttar Pradesh, which together account for over 56% of the total. Interested candidates can register on the PM Internship Portal at pminternship.mca.gov.in, which went live today.
