Paytm Faces FEMA Violation: Shares Drop 2%

Paytm's parent company, One97 Communications, faced a 2% drop in its shares after receiving a FEMA violation notice from the Enforcement Directorate. This notice concerns issues related to its acquisitions of Little Internet Private Limited and Nearbuy India Private Limited from 2015 to 2019. The notice was issued to One97 Communications, its subsidiaries, and some current and former directors. The company stated that the alleged violations occurred before these companies became part of Paytm. Despite this setback, Paytm assured users that its services remain secure and fully operational. The company is seeking legal advice to resolve the matter.
