RBI Fines Visa ₹2.41 Crore for Unauthorised Payment Method

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has fined Visa ₹2.41 crore ($288,000) for using an unauthorised payment authentication method.

This penalty comes after the RBI discovered that Visa had implemented the method without regulatory clearance. In February, the RBI had ordered Visa to cease this practice. Visa acknowledged the RBI's order and emphasized its commitment to compliance
