Reliance Jio Loses 10.9 Million Subscribers, But 5G Growth and Profits Soar

Reliance Jio lost 10.9 million subscribers in Q2, following an increase in recharge plan prices. However, the company saw strong growth in its 5G user base, which jumped from 130 million to 147 million.

Jio's Average Revenue Per User (ARPU) rose from ₹181.7 to ₹195.1, and its net profit surged to ₹6,536 crore. The telecom giant maintained its lead in network speed, reaching download speeds of 89.5 Mbps, far ahead of competitors. Jio also excels in coverage and reliability, making it a dominant player in India's telecom sector.
