The Indian rupee concluded 10 paise lower against the US dollar, closing at 83.27 on Thursday, influenced by local oil companies' dollar demands. The currency dipped 0.13% from its previous close.
The dollar index, saw a slight decrease at 102.36. Nuvama Professional Clients Group's Abhilash Koikkara noted that short-term fluctuations are becoming typical for the dollar-rupee pair, anticipating the rupee to fluctuate between 83 and 83.40 for the remainder of the month.
Investors are now awaiting crucial US economic data. The domestic equity market closed higher amid optimistic sentiments about India's growth prospects.
