Samsung Electronics informed the Madras High Court that it faced a $100 million loss due to a strike by workers at its factory in Tamil Nadu.
The company argued that the ongoing protest impacted its production operations, significantly affecting revenues. The workers, represented by the Centre of Indian Trade Unions (CITU), have been demanding better wages and improved working conditions. Samsung emphasized that the strike has disrupted its global supply chain, urging the court to intervene to resolve the matter. The court is set to hear further arguments on this issue.
