Samsung Grants ₹1 Crore to Young Innovators

31 Oct, 2025

Samsung India has recently made a remarkable contribution to the innovation landscape by awarding ₹1 crore in grants to young teams as part of its Solve for Tomorrow 2025 initiative. This program aims to inspire students to leverage technology, particularly artificial intelligence, to address pressing community issues in India.

The competition witnessed participation from thousands across the country, culminating in the selection of four standout teams: Percevia from Bengaluru, NextPlay.AI from Aurangabad, Paraspeak from Gurugram, and Prithvi Rakshak from Palamu. Each of these teams has developed unique, groundbreaking solutions that promise to make a significant impact.

Percevia created an AI-powered glasses system designed for visually impaired users. This innovative device identifies objects and provides real-time feedback through voice and vibration, enhancing the independence and mobility of its users. NextPlay.AI focused on sports inclusion, developing a mobile platform that combines an AI Virtual Coach, AI Referee, and Neuro-Inclusive Tracker, promoting fairness in athletic participation.

Paraspeak tackled communication barriers faced by individuals with speech disorders by designing a deep-learning device that converts slurred speech into clear communication. Meanwhile, Prithvi Rakshak introduced a gamified sustainability app aimed at fostering eco-friendly habits and encouraging tree adoption within communities.

The grand finale took place in New Delhi, where the winners were chosen after six months of intense mentorship and prototype testing. Not only did the top winners receive grants, but the top 20 finalists were also rewarded with ₹1 lakh each alongside the latest Samsung Galaxy Z Flip smartphones for their hard work and creativity.

Samsung's initiative, in collaboration with Startup India, MeitY Startup Hub, and Atal Innovation Mission, underscores its commitment to nurturing the Indian innovation ecosystem. By empowering young problem-solvers, especially from Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities, Samsung is playing a vital role in shaping the future of Bharat through technology-driven solutions.
