SEBI Bans Arshad Warsi: Stock Manipulation Case
The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) has banned actor Arshad Warsi, along with his wife and brother, from trading in the securities market for one year. They allegedly inflated the share price of Sadhna Broadcast Ltd (now Crystal Business System Ltd) before selling their stakes. SEBI has imposed a fine of Rs 5 lakh each and ordered them to return Rs 1.05 crore. The investigation revealed they were part of a scheme involving misleading YouTube videos to attract investors. SEBI’s crackdown highlights the need for transparency and integrity in the Indian stock market.
