Sensex Gains 1,000 Points: Airtel, IT Stocks Power Market Comeback

Sensex rebounded over 1,000 points in the afternoon, recovering from early losses driven by declines in metal and banking stocks.

By 12:52 PM, Sensex rose 111.46 points to 81,401.42, while Nifty50 added 12.75 points to 24,561.45. Top gainers included Bharti Airtel (+3.57%), HCL Tech (+1.32%), and HUL (+1.04%), led by strong performance in IT and FMCG sectors. However, broader indices like Nifty Midcap100 and Smallcap100 remained negative, losing 0.64% and 0.75%, respectively. Market volatility spiked 5.17% due to concerns over valuations and global cues.
