Broader indices and all sectoral indices declined, with BSE Power and Metal shedding 7% each, and Capital Goods falling 6%. FIIs sold equities worth ₹15,828 crore, while DIIs offset some losses, buying ₹11,874 crore. However, 22 small-cap stocks defied the trend, surging 10-43%, showing resilience in an otherwise weak market.
