Starlink Set to Challenge Reliance Jio in India’s Internet Market

Elon Musk’s Starlink is gearing up to launch satellite broadband in India, competing directly with Mukesh Ambani’s Reliance Jio, Airtel, and BSNL.

Starlink’s satellite internet, delivered through a network of low-Earth orbit satellites, could bring ultra-high-speed connectivity to Indian users. India's telecom minister Jyotiraditya Scindia confirmed that Starlink is currently seeking security clearances to ensure compliance with India's data storage and encryption standards.
