Stock Market Closed Today for Guru Nanak Jayanti

In celebration of Guru Nanak Jayanti, the Indian stock market takes a pause today, November 27. Both the National Stock Exchange (NSE) and Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) will remain closed, encompassing the equity, equity derivatives, SLB, currency derivatives, and interest rate derivatives segments.

Trading resumes tomorrow, November 28. Guru Nanak Jayanti, honoring Sikhism's first Guru, Guru Nanak Dev, holds significance for Sikh followers.

With the market having been closed for 13 days this November due to various festivals, the next closure is on December 25 for Christmas. On November 24, domestic indices Sensex and Nifty saw a flat close.
