Tata Consumer Products has dismissed reports claiming Starbucks plans to leave India, labeling them “baseless.”
A Rajasthan-based media outlet, The Philox, alleged Starbucks may exit due to mounting losses, high costs, and Indian consumers favoring affordable alternatives. However, Tata clarified that its partnership with Starbucks remains strong and committed to India. Tata Starbucks, a joint venture, reported ₹81 crore in losses for FY24, with a 12% revenue growth. Despite challenges, the company only plans to delay new store openings, not withdraw from the market.
