Tata Group Prepares for Future with Green Businesses and Job Cuts

Tata Group, led by Chairman N Chandrasekaran, is shifting its focus to green businesses and semiconductor manufacturing to meet future demands. The company plans to close blast furnaces at Tata Steel’s UK unit, resulting in 2,500 job losses. This transition aims to boost Tata’s financial fitness and sustainability. Chandrasekaran also highlighted efforts in electric vehicles, renewable energy, and improving Air India's competitiveness. However, he acknowledged slower progress in digital sales and integrating Tata brands into a single app, Tata Neu, as areas needing improvement.
