Tata Power has entered a strategic partnership with Druk Green Power Corporation Limited (DGPC) to develop 5,000 MW of clean energy capacity in Bhutan.
DGPC is a subsidiary of Druk Holding and Investments Limited, the country’s sole power generation utility. This partnership aligns with Bhutan’s energy vision, aiming to increase its total generation capacity to 25,000 MW by 2040. Bhutan plans to diversify its energy mix beyond hydropower to include solar and geothermal, supporting energy security and regional integration.
