Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) and the Maharashtra government have agreed to explore setting up a ₹20,000 crore electric and hybrid car plant in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar (Aurangabad).
The facility aims to produce 400,000 vehicles annually, creating 8,000 direct jobs and additional indirect employment. The project, located on 850 acres at AURIC, marks a significant step in India's automotive sector towards greener mobility. TKM's expansion in India includes a third plant in Karnataka, boosting production and reinforcing India's role as a global manufacturing hub for clean technology.
