TRAI Introduces New Rules for Telecom Plans

The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has mandated telecom operators to offer separate plans for voice, SMS, and data services. This aims to give consumers more flexibility and transparency in choosing services. TRAI has also extended the minimum validity for recharge plans to 30 days, ensuring better value for customers. Additionally, operators must clearly display the expiry date of plans, reducing confusion for users. These changes are expected to improve customer satisfaction and bring more clarity to prepaid and postpaid offerings in the telecom sector.
