A significant legal clash between Hindustan Unilever Ltd (HUL) and Honasa Consumer Ltd has concluded with a peaceful resolution. The Delhi high court ordered HUL to modify a controversial advertisement for its Lakmé sunscreen, which Honasa claimed unfairly targeted its products. HUL must remove certain claims and adjust packaging colors in the ad. The dispute centered on the claim that the Lakmé sunscreen labeled as an “online bestseller” actually provided lower sun protection than advertised.
