Unprecedented Surge: India's Housing Sales Soar by 36% in Q3 2023

India's housing market witnessed an unprecedented surge in sales during Q3 2023, hitting an all-time high, reports real estate consultant ANAROCK. Despite the monsoon season, the top seven cities recorded remarkable growth, partly attributed to the stable repo rate maintained by the central bank.

Home sales in these cities reached 120,280 units, a 36 percent increase from the same period last year. Mumbai Metropolitan Region led with 38,500 units sold, followed by Pune with nearly 22,885 units. These cities contributed to 51 percent of total sales. ANAROCK expects this strong performance to continue into the next quarter, driven by sustained demand and stable interest rates.
