Vistara, the luxury airline jointly owned by Tata Group and Singapore Airlines, has officially merged with Air India, sparking a wave of social media reactions.
Many users jokingly remarked that Vistara is the “first airline to shut down because of AI (Air India).” This merger marks the end of Vistara’s nine-year independent operations, as all services, including flights, ticketing, and kiosks, shift under Air India management. The first flight under this merged entity, coded ‘AI2286,’ took off from Doha to Mumbai, symbolizing a new era for the Indian skies.
