Vistara will officially merge with Air India on November 12, 2024, following the Indian government's approval of Singapore Airlines' (SIA) investment in Air India. Starting September 3, Vistara's bookings for travel beyond November 11 will redirect to Air India's website.
This merger aims to offer passengers a larger fleet and broader network, with current operations continuing until early 2025. SIA, previously holding 49% in Vistara, will now acquire a 25.1% stake in the merged Air India by investing ₹2,059 crore. Both SIA and Tata Sons plan to complete the merger by the end of 2024
